Growing New Roots
As the days grow longer and gardens burst into bloom, June always feels like a season of possibility.
At Artem, this month is about growth—not just in the garden, but in our creative community as well. Every new artist, every handmade piece, every conversation shared within our walls adds another layer to the story we are building together.
This spring brought some meaningful changes. We made the difficult decision to close our dedicated workshop space, but it also reminded us that creativity isn't defined by square footage. Creativity lives in people. It lives in the artists who trust us with their work, the visitors who stop by to explore, and the collectors who bring handmade art into their homes.
One exciting new chapter this month is the launch of Artem's online shopping experience. For years, customers have asked if they could shop from home, send gifts to loved ones, or continue supporting their favorite artists after visiting the gallery. We are thrilled to begin making that possible. While not every item will be available online, this first step allows us to share a carefully curated selection of artwork, jewelry, ceramics, photography, gifts, and handcrafted treasures with a wider audience.
June is also a month of celebration. Fathers, graduates, mentors, teachers, family and friends all deserve recognition for the ways they encourage and support us. Handmade gifts carry a special meaning because they tell a story. They represent time, skill, passion, and the human connection that can never be replicated by mass production.
As I walk through the gallery each morning, I am reminded that every piece here began as an idea in someone's heart. A brushstroke. A photograph. A lump of clay. A bead. A piece of glass. Something made by hand and brought to life through patience and imagination.
That is what Artem has always been about.
Not simply selling art.
But creating a place where artists and art lovers can connect, where creativity is celebrated, and where handmade still matters.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you visit often, stop in occasionally, follow along online, or support our artists from afar, you are an important part of the Artem family.
We look forward to welcoming you this June.
With gratitude,
