Maike van Wijk is a writer, editor, photographer, and artist behind Maike’s Marvels. Alongside her professional work in writing and editing, Maike creates one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry and home adornments. Her Wax and Wire Jewelry, which has been featured in art shows throughout Chicagoland, begins with steel wire hand-bent into organic and abstract shapes and embellished with waxed paper, beads, and other meaningful elements.
