Marlene Mendez is an award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in group exhibits in Bucks County, PA, New Jersey, the Philadelphia area, and in Chicago. Her images have also appeared in solo shows in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, PA. 

Marlene's photographs have been selected for inclusion in the internationally prestigious publications of Black & White Magazine and LensWork, as well as the international online competitions of Black and White Spider Awards and International Color Awards.

Marlene’s love of photography began in 1979. It was then that she bought her first 35mm SLR to record the wondrous moments of her newborn son’s days. Through the years photography has intensified so many of life’s moments and has offered Marlene a way to share her visual memories. 

With each image she aspires to convey a sense of wonder, --- that fleeting moment of light and emotion that inspires her to press the shutter.

Marlene resides in Evanston, IL.
